Thursday, 20th November 2008 (2302 views) A pair of gold cufflinks autographed by vice president elect Joe Biden have been auctioned at a charity dinner. The Delaware senator donated the cufflinks in aid of the First State Community Action Agency's annual board dinner, the Cape Gazette reports. Decorated in dark blue and gold, the cufflinks carrying the insignia 'US Senator Joseph R Biden Jnr' are in the style mostly worn by Democrat officials. However, executive director of First State Community Action Agency Bernice Edwards stated that the cufflinks, as well as a baseball bat signed by Chase Utley, are rare items. "You just won't find items like these floating around," he said, adding: "They're indeed a rare commodity and hard for most to obtain." Another gold piece to be auctioned this week is Wallis Simpson's gold ring, which was given to her by the Duke of Windsor. The ring could fetch £5,000 and carries the inscription 'Darling Wallis', the Daily Mail reports.
