Monday, 24th November 2008 (998 views) Northern Gold Mining has produced an update on its exploration activities on the Kirana property in the Kirkland Lake, Ontario area and on its Timmins properties.The company has announced that it has completed its 2008 drilling programmes and two additional mineralised areas have been exposed in the last month on the Kirana property for geological mapping and sampling. Assay results from Northern Gold Mining's core logging, field activities and associated sampling remain ongoing and assay results are expected soon. A total of 13,524m have been drilled by the firm at the Kirana project since it started the latest programme in midsummer and diamond drilling has been completed at the Timmins properties for the 2008 season, with five holes totalling 1397m completed on the Matheson Central property and six holes totalling 1082m completed on the Pamour property. Based in Toronto, Northern Gold is a junior resource company dedicated to gold exploration in the proven mining camps of Kirkland Lake and Timmins in Northern Ontario.
