Thursday, 27th November 2008 (1086 views) African Eagle Resources has revealed that diamond drilling at the Zanzui complex in Tanzania has returned anomalous values for gold (52ppb).A report from the company also stated that pan concentrates of up to 8.3g/t were recorded from the Ndudumo River on the southern margin of the complex. The company's update for Tanzania confirmed that ground and airborne magnetometer surveys carried out over the project had shown the layering of Zanzui. Data has been review by Christopher Davies, African Eagle operations director and a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy with more than 27 years of mineral exploration experience. Located 110km east of Mwanza and 70km south-west of the Dutwa discovery, the Zanzui complex is a strongly layered circular ultramafic intrusion 12km in diameter and covering around 140 sq km. African Eagle Resources is a UK-based mineral resources company exploring and developing gold and copper deposits in eastern and central Africa, including the Miyabi gold project in Tanzania.
