An ornate gold and jade imperial chair has gone on display in China.

The Imperial Dragon Seat by sculptor Zhu Bingren - which comes with an equally finely decorated footstool - is one of more than 400 objets d'art on show at the China Art Craft of Design Quintessence Exposition at the Hangzhou Peace International Convention & Exhibition Center.

Opening yesterday (October 29th), the exhibition consists of various works from more than 380 arts and crafts professionals from across China, Xinhua reports.

Other items on display at the event include a gold-decorated sculpture containing a representation of the Nine Dragon Screen, the 600-year-old original version of which can be seen in the north Chinese city of Datong.

Visitors can additionally view a crystalline tower and a delicate bloodstone sculpture at the exhibition, among other objects.

The China Art Craft of Design Quintessence Exposition is currently in its tenth year of operation.
