Thursday, 4th February 2010 (1257 views) A world-class ceramics manufacturer has revealed that it will be re-launching a number of its most famous products to celebrate its 50th anniversary, with a 22-c gold piece being the "star" of the collection.The Portmeirion Group, which includes well-renowned brands such as Royal Worcester, Spode and Pimpernel, will be bringing some of its most popular and well-loved designs out of the archive in celebration of half a century of business. Charlotte Cowell, reviewing products that are being showcased at this year's Spring Fair International, says that a limited edition soup tureen that is embossed with 22-c gold decoration is by far the "star" of the show. She states that the item is a credit to the 50 people who worked to create it, adding: "Truly beautiful with only 50 to be made, the Malachite soup tureen is expected to be the must-have contemporary collectable." The Spring Fair International is set to take place from February 7th to the 11th at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
